After last week’s releases RAABTA and BEHEN HOGI TERI underperforming at the box office, this week we see the release of the Riteish Deshmukh starrer BANK CHOR. But will the film that has been in the news for its title that acts as a moniker for an abuse work or will it be robbed of its glory at the box office is the question.
Reports state that BANK CHOR, that sees a release across 700 screens in India, has opened to a disastrous start with occupancy rates being pegged at a meagre 5%. Though the film was never expected to open on a high note, the dismal opening response to BANK CHOR will certainly affect the film’s overall box office collections. On the other hand, the Hollywood releases CARS 3 and DESPICABLE ME 3 that cater to the kids segment are expected to pick up drastically over the weekend.
On the whole, while last week’s releases RAABTA and BEHEN HOGI TERI have all but vanished, BANK CHOR faces an uphill task at the box office.
