Director Prashanth Neel recently met Prabhas on the eve of the actor’s birthday, bringing the Salaar team back into focus as anticipation continues to build for Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam. The reunion comes after Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire continued to draw attention on streaming platforms following its theatrical success in 2023.
Starring Prabhas and directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire emerged as a major box-office success. Set in the dystopian city-state of Khansaar, the film featured large-scale action and a story centred on friendship, power and conflict. Its commercial performance and digital viewership helped establish the franchise among Hombale Films’ prominent projects.
As Prabhas celebrates his birthday today, Neel met the actor on the eve of the occasion to extend his wishes. The meeting also brought renewed attention to the upcoming sequel, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, which has been generating interest among fans since the first instalment’s release.

Hombale Films shared a post about the reunion on social media, accompanied by a message celebrating the actor’s birthday and hinting at the duo’s return. The post read, “A special day and a special reunion. Wishing our one and only Violent Man, #Prabhas a spectacular birthday! We can't wait to see this DINO-mite duo back in action… #Salaar2.”
The update has added to the anticipation surrounding the sequel, although the makers have not shared further details about its production or release in the post.
Hombale Films has backed several commercially successful Indian film franchises, including KGF and Kantara. The Salaar franchise has also built a substantial following, with audiences awaiting the next chapter in the story of Khansaar.
Released in 2023, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire recorded a strong theatrical run and became the highest-grossing Telugu film of that year. It also ranked among the highest-grossing Telugu and Indian films, according to its reported box-office performance. The film continued to attract viewers after its digital release, with reports indicating that it remained a trending title on streaming platforms for an extended period.
With Neel and Prabhas reuniting ahead of the actor’s birthday, the latest social media post has renewed attention on their collaboration and the next instalment of the Salaar franchise.
