Dressed in a navy blue full-sleeve shirt with blue denims, Tom looked like a million bucks and had the girls in the audience going mad. He patiently walked the red carpet for almost an hour and a half (Phew!) and interacted with his fans who almost pulled him amidst them. He obliged the autograph hunters and every possible device which had a camera attached to it was busy clicking snaps of the international superstar. Tom, as one of his managers told us, is notorious for spending hours on the red carpet interacting with his fans and this event, if any, was a sheer testimony to this very fact.
But before Anil escorted Tom and Paula inside the IMAX theatre for their first glimpse of the movie madness in India, Anil remembers the food fetish of Tom Cruise, "Oh! By the way, Tom loves Indian food. He loved it and had lots in the party I hosted for him and he loves India. He will be visiting again soon I'm sure."
Yes, we are sure that the whole of India would be hoping Tom comes back once again very soon to the nation that can't seem to have enough of him.
And guess what? Her "opposite" pops up and surprises us. "Here I am guys. Ask what you want to", says Anil Kapoor, the man who is making his mark with A-list Hollywood movies and rubbing shoulders with the Hollywood hotties. "Everything is sinking in as of now. The feeling and the grandeur of such a mega day with Tom, Paula and the entire gang of Mission Impossible. As a person, I really don't take things seriously. I just have fun. I don't take failure or success critically."
But we were damn sure our Indian hero took Paula seriously. And when we asked him he was bang on, "Paula is beautiful, Paula is sexy and Paula is hot. That's all I can say."
But ever wondered how does a woman feel on her first trip to India where all she's been doing in the last 24 hours is partying and chilling with the who's who of Bollywood? Patton presses her answer, "Anil and his wife hosted a beautiful party with some amazing food. People of India couldn't have been more beautiful, kind and loving. It's been an honour to be in India."
Well, we all know that opposites attract. So what about the man who is "opposite" Paula? What about him? What about Anil Kapoor? Paula quotes, "Anil is my man in Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol (winks and laughs). He is incredibly infectious and has a great sense of humour. We had great fun working together."
Moving along with the humour, Paula speaks a word or two about Simon Pegg too. She delivers, "He is so funny. He makes you laugh so much. He is my dearest friend and I adore him."
Paula was electrifying on the red carpet. It was like God had dropped an angel without wings on Earth and all we could do was stare at her with our 'not so vulgar' eyes. Patton waved, posed for pictures with her fans and media, signed autographs on MI:4 posters and was sporting that 'not fake' smile of hers. You could see her enjoying as if it was a leisurely Sunday and all she was doing was walking in the park.
Slowly and steadily she walked in our direction and right before you could blink, she winks when we reach out to her. Paula pauses and kicks the 'b***s' when she says, "It was incredible to kick some b***s in the movie (laughs). It was very empowering and I always wanted to be strong and fearsome. I had a great trainer who taught me that if as a woman you have the wiz about you and you know where to strike, you can take on any man in the room, so be careful."
