Rani Mukerjee was the special guest at the opening of Designer Sabyasachi's store opening. An occasion to live up to the standards, according to Anand, "I remember this disaster at the Sabyasachi's store opening. Every time Sabyasachi makes her look like a million bucks in his outfits except for when she tries to play Dita Von Teese! Ok so she's lost all that weight but she makes up for it with those shoes. We like Rani only onscreen. But she makes the bubble burst when she does a red carpet. Sad, but true!"
First up is the masakali girl Sonam Kapoor who has earned the title of a Bollywood fashionista. On her look that she donned for the Audio release of her upcoming film Aisha, Anand says, "Shes our Indian answer to Sarah Jessica Parker. We love her. Period. She is the only Indian actor who can make a rag look like million bucks! I adore the Vivienne Westwood Red Label Polka Dot Strapless dress she is wearing for this event. It's feminine yet edgy. Bingo! We have a perfect styling also; love the white clutch, beige ankle-strap sandals and sun kissed cheeks! Girl you rock!"
Red Carpet events require serious preparations. Right from getting the right outfit, to the right accessories, hair, nails and last but not the least the attitude, which by the way, you can't buy at any store. Here are some celebrities who did go the length, Chandni Dev in conversation with the renowned Fashion Week Designer Anand Bhushan finds out how well did they do on a scale of ten, did they top or toppled.
Chitrangda Singh who's known for her beauty as much as she is known for acting prowess was spotted at the Launch of the Beverly Hills Polo Club. Did she look like a stunner? Anand says, "I love Chitrangda for the fact she married Jyoti Randhawa and made it look good. A 10/10 for the face, 10/10 for the star wife persona and 10/10 for dressing up for Halloween. She has got to be embarrassed here, wearing something so unflattering. She needs to learn how to wear polka dot from Sonam. Otherwise Chitrangda is cute."
Then we have Amrita Rao who donned this look for Raajneeti's success bash. Not exactly chic, Anand says, "She is the exact opposite of Sonam. Give her Chanel and she'll make it look cheap. She looks dated and kinda looks like Meenakshi Seshadri from the 80's. I bet she is talented blah blah blah! However, all of this makes me a little more sympathetic to her fashion sense!"
