Produced by Karan Johar and directed by debutant Siddharth Malhotra; Kajol, Kareena and Arjun Rampal might have left the audience in tears, but what added sheer emotion to some of the scenes, were VFX shots executed by Mumbai based VFX house Pixion.

With as good as 278 shots, the film is purely a family drama where Arjun Rampal is divorced and his kids live with his ex-wife Kajol. Arjun has been in a relationship with Kareena Kapoor for the last three years and attempts to settle his life with her.

"The role of the VFX has much to do with the narrative of the film. With close to 40 artists working for fifteen days, the VFX has come out well. " said Prasad Sutar, VFX supervisor of the film.

"There was usage of VFX even to make the night look more realistic by adding stars and color correcting it," he added.

Talking about the relationship between the director Siddharth Malhotra and Prasad, the VFX supervisor shared some of his old memories, "Siddharth and myself came together for the first time with Soorja Barjatya's Vivah, where I was the VFX supervisor and Siddharth was assisting Sooraj that time."

"Ranadheer Reddy, Composting head at Pixion shared about the importance of compositing and how it made few shots even more emotional. "Composting in a few shots made it really interesting in terms of getting the real feel and emotions of the scene. The climax sequence, as it was required by the director that it has to be 'larger than life', the change in background helped us solve the purpose.
