Here again it is Salman and Shahrukh who take the top 2 spots. Even their search volume index is quite identical like 2008. However, there is a complete turnaround in positions 3, 4 and 5. Shahid Kapoor who was ranked No. 5 last year jumps two spots and lands at No.3 replacing Aamir Khan. While Akshay maintains his status quo at No.4, it is Aamir who is ousted out of the Top 5 by Hrithik Roshan. This, despite the fact that Aamir had a big release in 3 Idiots, while Hrithik just had a Luck By Chance to his name.

Country-wise

While Salman leads in most markets, followed by Shahrukh Khan, in India it is Shahid Kapoor who slightly overtakes Shahrukh in terms of the most searched actor. Like last year, in Morocco, it's once again SRK who emerges as the most searched actor.

Salman has once again been way ahead of the rest and the difference between him and SRK widens even further. With Dabangg hysteria, his popularity is likely to only grow from strength to strength. Nevertheless, SRK manages to hold on to the No.2 spot quite comfortably. With 4 releases, Shahid Kapoor continues to hold strong at No.3 while Hrithik replaces Akshay at the No.4 spot courtesy the hype surrounding Kites. Aamir Khan shockingly still doesn't find a place in the Top 5 searched celebs of 2010.

The country wise search data trend for 2010 follows a similar pattern like that of 2009.

Salman is on top for most of the year and SRK in second place. As for Aamir, there is a considerable difference between his search volume index and that of SRK's and Salman's. Aamir's search volume index however did soar a little higher towards the end of the year when Ghajini released. Also, Akshay showed a slight escalation in August when Singh Is Kinng released. Surprisingly even though Hrithik Roshan had a big release in 2008 in the form of Jodhaa Akbar, he didn't make it to the Top 5 Searched Actors and it is Shahid Kapoor instead who shares the bottom spot with Akshay Kumar.

Salman leads in most markets such as Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and UAE while SRK is No.2. However in India, SRK, Aamir, Akshay and Shahid are all placed pretty close. In Morocco, its Shahrukh who is the most searched actor even beating Salman to the top spot.
