Speaking about his early days during which he did films like Parwana, Anand, Reshma Aur Shera etc. senior Bachchan said, "When you start off, you take whatever comes your way. We were all just excited at the opportunity of acting in front of the camera and each of those films was a tremendous learning experience."

The actor also spoke about his experience working in Sholay considered by many as the greatest film of all time. Big B recollected, "Working in Sholay was a wonderful experience and there are great memories attached to that film. When Ramesh Sippy first narrated the story, I thought the film would be based somewhere in the hinterland of North India but I was surprised to know that we were going to be shooting near Bangalore. Besides I was very attracted to Gabbar's role and wanted to play that role badly but they didn't let me." Amitabh also shared another interesting bit of information about Sholay, "During the shooting of Sholay, Jaya was pregnant with our elder child Shweta and hence I often jokingly tell Shweta that you've also acted in Sholay."
