Not just a ‘sexy face’, Celina Jaitley has more substance than she is known for. A thorough romantic at heart, Celina is deeply rooted to history and legends long forgotten. In fact, she even identifies herself with few of them. Being the brand ambassador for the country that still has its ancient civilization alive and breathing, Celina feels she personifies the historic and ancient personality of Egypt to the ‘T’. “Middle East has always fascinated me since childhood. The history, deities, dynasties, I find all of them very interesting. You would be surprised to know that my house has furnitures and artifacts that is 100 and more years old’, quotes the light eyed damsel. Recently, on a tour to the land of Pyramids, the beauty shares her most beautiful and ‘incredible experiences’ with IndiaFM, so lets travel down the Egyptian lane of Cairo with Celina Jaitley.
In a golden blue sari (by the way her favourite outfit) standing near the Lion stone sculptures at Media Production City / film city (which she believes may be bigger to Universal studios), Celina is seen raising the heat and temperature with her glorifying beauty. The media city described by Celina houses plenty of beautiful sets that replicate different ancient eras and tons of monuments that recreate history. It takes you back in time says the brand ambassador.
Staying at a hotel near the banks of river Nile, Celina was completely excited about the fact that it was the same river where Cleopatra and Julius Caesar walked hand in hand. Emerging as a hardcore romantic, Celina says she will remain romantic even at the age of 90 and in the end she is extremely happy of having visited this amazing country, for now she has stories to tell her children and grandchildren.
On asking Celina how was her overall experience in Egypt, pat comes her reply that it was the most incredible experience anyone can have. It is different to see Egypt on travel channels and hear and read about the same in books, but to see all of the 1000 year old structures in front of your eyes gives one a very unique and a mesmerizing feeling, one that cannot be described in words.
Well spoken like a true ambassador Celina!

On probing her for more memorable incidents she tells us about this young Egyptian man who seemed to be a big fan of hers and kept telling her about his feelings for some 10-15 minutes in Arabic language which Celina just could not decipher but could understand for they were so genuine and heart felt. According to her, it was the most heart warming experience. Besides this she also remembers her visit to a church which has a much unexpected history attached to it that claims Lord Jesus and Mother Mary taking shelter in that particular church while escaping from King Herod.
Standing near the famous and most popular monument of Egypt in Giza, The Sphinx, Celina is in complete awe of the historic structure and regales the varied theories she came across in reference to its creation. “The funniest theory I have heard is that the Sphinx was built by aliens’, laughs the elated actress.
In a black polka dotted short dress, donning the stylish sunglasses, Celina is all ready to shop and ‘haggle’ (means bargain) at a local bazaar. Hmm ...but one really wonders if she is there to buy stuff or to steal the hearts of her admirers. Egypt, a die hard fan of this Bollywood celebrity, besides Big B and SRK, was more than happy to present her with their love and affection (attention). But the presents and souvenirs, Celina bought for her friends and family was the “Bust of Pharaoh Nefertiti’. Nefertiti besides being the most beautiful woman in the world was also the most powerful woman and according to Celina she is much more admirable than Cleopatra. Celina says she wouldn’t mind being called the Nefertiti of Bollywood.
