One of the consumer goods sectors in India with the quickest growth is the cosmetics and personal care market. With more shelf space in India's retail stores and boutiques, the personal care and cosmetics industry has continued to experience great growth. Therefore, we gathered five Indian celebrities that founded beauty products that go beyond their celebrity status.

Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif launched her beauty brand Kay Beauty, in partnership with India’s largest beauty retailer, Nykaa. Katrina Kaif's beauty line Kay Beauty has a wide range and variety of products which are actually great makeup products. All the products are really good and affordable. Every KayBeauty product is vegan, cruelty-free, and dermatologically tested. In keeping with its dedication to diversity and inclusivity, Kay Beauty offers a wide variety of shades across its diverse portfolio of over 220 SKUs, including bestsellers like the 24 Hr Kajal, Pure Bloom Eye-shadow Palette, Banana Loose Powder, Wrap Up Matte Drama Matte Lipstick, and 125Y Shade in the Kay Beauty Hydrating Foundation. The company has won numerous industry honours, including the Vogue Beauty Awards for its excellent products and the renowned SAMMIES for the most effective social media campaign. Its co-founder Katrina Kaif was also given the Conde Nast India Beauty Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas launched her own collection of vegan, cruelty-free, and clean hair care products, including a mask, dry shampoo, and three different types of shampoo. Their affordability is a surprise as all the items' are priced $6 per unit price. Anomaly emphasizes that the price is based on the fact that they spent more on the formulation than the packaging.

Artificial nails, commonly referred to as fake nails, are added as fashion accessories over natural fingernails. While some artificial nail designs aim to closely resemble actual fingernails, others may purposefully deviate in favour of an aesthetic appeal. Sonakshi Sinha, a Bollywood celebrity, has capitalized on the enormous popularity of artificial nails in the beauty business by launching the "Soezi" nail brand, which offers a variety of press-on nails. Artificial nails range from acrylic press-ons to gel extensions. A specific online store for the brand has been launched.

Sunny Leone's vegan cosmetics company, Star Struck, is cruelty-free and PETA-certified. Its best-selling lip products are the hue “Baby Doll”, which is named after her popular song. For Sunny, who considers makeup to be an integral part of daily life, being cruelty-free and remaining loyal to her aesthetic are crucial. The brand, which debuted in 2018, has since added concealers, mascaras, colour correctors, and other cosmetics to its lineup.

The Internet was buzzing with discussions of racism and colourism during the pandemic. In the midst of all of this, TV host Anusha Dandekar launched her skincare line, BrownSkin Beauty, to honour all global skin tones. Anusha established one of the only companies that prioritize healthier skin over fairer complexion with the hashtag #WhateverYourBrownItsBeautiful. Anusha's Brown Skin Beauty was founded with a definite goal in mind: to assist individuals in embracing their differences. The founder has been outspoken about her own experiences with prejudice. Her strategy is novel as well; she shows that beauty serves a purpose by participating in photo sessions for the brand without makeup and founding the Beyond Brown Skin Foundation for underprivileged girls.

Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta has developed an affordable skincare line for the modern lifestyle, inspired by her work and years of experience as an actor and pageant queen. Arias is vegetarian, free of parabens and cruelty, and created to make skincare procedures easy and straightforward. In association with Scentials Beauty Care and Wellness and dermatologist Dr. Geetanjali Shetty, Lara launched the company.
