Taapsee Pannu recently tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Mathias Boe in an intimate ceremony. For her wedding, the Dunki actress ditched the lehenga and opted for a red salwar suit instead. Now, she has opened up about the reason for choosing her wedding ensemble.

In an interview with Filmfare, Taapsee Pannu disclosed that her wedding gown was made by her college friend, Mani Bhatia. The actress revealed that she grew up attending Sikh weddings in Gurudwaras, where the brides wore red salwar suits with kinari on the dupatta border.

She admitted that she couldn't envision herself wearing a pastel lehenga. She also stated that she did not want a major designer to create her wedding gown because it would be difficult to keep under wraps.

Taapsee also stated that she wanted to dance at all of her wedding celebrations. That is why she chose not to wear lehengas throughout any of the ceremonies.

Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe's wedding video became viral immediately after they got married. A few industry insiders attended the event, including Pavail Gulati, Kanika Dhillon, among others.
