The opening of SPIDER-MAN 3 is historic. In fact, the opening day figures are at par with biggies like KRRISH and DHOOM 2 in India. The film opened to 95%-100% response across the country, emerging the biggest ever Hollywood opener in India. At several places, the management of movie halls/movieplexes had a tough time controlling the overflowing crowd. Even the early morning shows were packed to capacity.
Released in five versions [588 screens] in India -- Hindi, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu and English -- the opening weekend of SPIDER-MAN 3 is expected to be earth-shattering. Meanwhile, the sole Hindi release, YATRA, was completely eclipsed by SPIDER-MAN 3 on Friday.
