GHANCHAKKAR, which teams UTV, Rajkumar Gupta and Vidya Balan [after NO ONE KILLED JESSICA] and Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan [after THE DIRTY PICTURE] had a lackluster start in morning and noon shows. While the multiplexes were slightly better, but overall below the mark, the response at single screens was poor. Now this comes as a surprise, since Emraan enjoys tremendous following amongst masses and the mass belt should've opened to a heartening response.

Ghanchakkar collected Rs. 7.3 cr on Saturday. Total collection of Fri and Sat is Rs. 14.5 cr.
The business will have to multiply rapidly in evening and night shows, if it has to sustain at the BO.
