The business was far from upbeat today [Friday]. The two new releases, ENGLISH VINGLISH and KLPD - KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI, had a tepid start at the ticket window. While ENGLISH VINGLISH gained lead at multiplexes, KLPD - KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI was slightly better at some single screens. However, the opening numbers were below par.
ENGLISH VINGLISH picked up marginally during the evening shows and is expected to gain momentum over the weekend, since the word of mouth is very good. The Saturday and Sunday biz would decide where the two films are headed.
