A record number of new films opened this Friday, but the movie-going audience was just not interested. Despite excellent promotion undertaken by their makers [AIYYAA, BHOOT RETURNS and MAKKHI in particular], the morning and noon shows of all films were dismal. In fact, at some screens, the response was so bad that the figures were not even in thousands, but mere hundreds. All films will need a miraculous escalation over the weekend, if they have to survive.
