Yash Raj Films’ latest outing Tiger 3 has become the highest opener for a Salman Khan movie by earning Rs. 44.50 crores. Out of this number, Rs. 43 crores have come from the original Hindi version and Rs. 1.50 crores from dubbed versions.
That’s not all. On its opening day, Tiger 3 has achieved the following milestones:
1. The highest-grossing Diwali Day in the history of Hindi cinema.
2. The biggest opening day of Salman Khan.
3. The biggest opening day of the Tiger Franchise.
4. The previous Diwali Day opening record has been beaten by almost 3x (Ra.One – Rs. 18.50 crores)
Tiger 3 is the third film in the Tiger franchise after Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. The film is the fifth in Yash Raj Film’s Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan. All the movies in this universe have become major hits. It looks like Tiger 3 will also keep the record alive.
