The SS Rajamouli directorial RRR that was released last week on Friday has been doing brisk business. After receiving positive reviews, the business of the film witnessed immense growth thanks to widespread audience acceptance. In the overseas markets as well, the business of RRR has been on a roll raking in the collections with each passing day.
Now, just five days after its release, RRR has managed to draw in A$ 2.27 million [Rs. 12.97 cr] at the Australia box office. Currently ranked as the 5th all-time highest grosser in Australia, the business of RRR has already surpassed the collections of the previous releases like the Aamir Khan starrers PK which collected A$ 2.10 million, Dhoom 3 which collected A$ 1.75 million, and the Salman Khan starrers Bajrangi Bhaijaan that had collected A$ 1.70 million, and Tiger Zinda Hai that had collected A$ 1.60 million.
If that wasn’t all, RRR still enjoys the audiences’ favour and continues to run to packed theatres. Given the current trend, the business of the film is all set to surpass the collections of the previous SS Rajamouli directorial Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion. In fact, trade estimates state that the business of RRR will surpass Baahubali 2 which had collected A$ 2.40 million by the end of its first week at the Australia box office.
Interestingly though, given the current scenario, the wide release RRR enjoys and of course the audience appreciation it has received, it will come as no surprise if the business of the film eventually surpasses the Australian box office leader Padmaavat which had collected A$ 3.16 million.
