The SS Rajamouli directorial RRR has been setting new records. Released last week on Friday, the film starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn has been raking in the moolah at the box office. After opening on a high note, the collections of the film soared over its opening weekend raking in Rs. 75.57 cr. Now on its fifth day running, the business of RRR has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark, making it the sixth release post the pandemic to achieve this.
When compared to previous releases that have hit screens post the pandemic, RRR has raked in Rs. 107.59 cr in just 5 days has become the fastest Rs. 100 cr grosser. In fact, the business of the film surpasses the previous releases like the Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi which collected Rs. 102.81 cr in 5 Days, The Kashmir Files that collected Rs. 116.45 cr in 8 Days, the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi collected Rs. 102.60 cr in 13 Days, the Ranveer Singh film 83 that collected Rs. 100.56 cr in 17 days and the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 collected Rs. 108.26 cr in 45 Days.
Currently, the SS Rajamouli directorial, RRR still enjoys the audiences’ favour continuing to run to packed theatres. In fact, trade predictions state that the business of the film will cross the Rs. 150 cr mark by the end of its first week.
