The Allu Arjun film Pushpa – The Rise - Part 1 that released in December last year has been unstoppable at the box office. After gathering steam in its second and third week running the business of Pushpa has not really slowed down despite the competition from other releases. Now in its ninth week running Pushpa has managed to draw in a further Rs. 1.39 cr.

Collecting Rs. 1.39 cr Pushpa has managed to become the 2nd highest all-time ninth week grosser just being Uri – The Surgical Strike that had collected Rs. 1.64 cr. On the other hand Pushpa has fared better than certain other releases like, AndhaDhun that collected Rs. 0.75 cr, 3 Idiots that collected Rs. 0.64 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 0.45 cr, Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior that collected Rs. 0.43 cr. Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 0.30 cr, Badhaai Ho that collected Rs. 0.20 cr and Dangal that had collected Rs. 0.19 cr.
The surprising part about Pushpa – The Rise’s continued theatrical run, is the fact that the film has managed this feat despite its release on OTT streaming platform. In fact, given the current trend, expectations are that the business of Pushpa that has begun to slow down will dwindle further over the coming week.
