Pathaan is staying over the Rs. 5 crores mark and that’s a good sign since Saturday and Sunday were anyways supposed to be high but for the third Friday too to be in this range, it needed continued interest amongst audiences to come into picture. Friday was 17th day for the film and hence Rs. 5.50 crores* which came in is a good number indeed. More so since the drop from Thursday collections of Rs. 5.95 crores is reasonable.
From here the film will really grow well since practically all theatres are available for it to make merry. Even last week there was very good jump seen as collections moved from Rs. 14 crores on Friday to Rs. 23.25 crores on Saturday. There was huge momentum seen in audience footfalls and if similar kind of trending is seen today as well then around Rs. 9 crores will come in and that would set up the film really well for a bountiful weekend ahead.
So far, the Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone starrer has collected Rs. 464.40 crores* and while the collections will approach Rs. 475 crores today, the numbers would be much closer to Rs. 490 crores by the time the weekend is through. That would ensure a call for Rs. 500 Crore Club entry by the close of third week.
