R.s 57 cr, Rs. 70.50 cr, Rs. 39.25 cr and Rs. 51.50 cr - That's how the scorecard looks like for Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan after spending four days in theatres. It hit a half century on the opening day, then hit it out of the part on the second day, struck a huge one on the third day, and then went full throttle all over again on the fourth day. Wait, there is more. With today being a big Sunday, yet another amazing feat awaits the film. For the first time ever we could well witness a Sunday with a Rs. 60 cr being hit, something that even Shah Rukh Khan wouldn't have imagined before the release.
2022 was particularly bad for the big budget films, especially the ones released on or around national holidays, when even a lifetime of Rs. 50 crores seemed like a distant possibilities. Now, Pathaan has scored more than that for three out of its four day run, what with Saturday collections being a huge Rs. 51.50 crores. This is bigger than what KGF: Chapter 2 [Rs. 42.90 crores] or War [Rs. 28.70 crores] had collected on their very first Saturday day. Pathaan has done that on its fourth, and that too after three huge days already which pretty much tells the tale.
In the process, the film has scored a huge double century as well and that too in record time. With Rs. 220 crores under its name, the film has gone past the lifetime score of several other Rs. 200 Crore Club hits, superhits and blockbusters like Bharat [Rs. 211.07 crores], Prem Ratan Dhan Payo [Rs. 210 crores], Housefull 4 [Rs. 208.50 crores], Golmaal Again [Rs. 205.70 crores], Good Newwz [Rs. 205.14 crores], Happy New Year [Rs. 205 crores], Mission Mangal [Rs. 203 crores] and 3 Idiots [Rs. 202.95 crores] in a matter of just 4 days.
