The massively hyped release KGF – Chapter 2 starring Yash hit screens on Thursday last week. Receiving a thunderous response from the audience, with advance bookings showing a nearly 80% occupancy rate the business of the film started on a high note. After collecting over Rs. 40 cr on each day over its four-day extended weekend, the business of KGF 2 crossed the Rs. 200 cr mark on Day 5 with a further Rs. 25.57 cr coming in.
With this, KGF – Chapter 2 has now become the third Hindi dubbed release to accomplish this feat. Preceded by the SS Rajamouli directorials Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that had collected Rs. 510.99 cr, and RRR that had collected Rs. 253.84 cr, KGF 2, which still continues to run has already made it to a rather exclusive club within 5 days of its release.
If that wasn’t enough, trade predictions state that if KGF – Chapter 2 manages to maintain its current momentum, the business of the film will soon surpass the lifetime collections of the Ram Charan – Jr. NTR starrer RRR. In fact, estimates predict that the business of KGF 2 is likely to near if not cross the Rs. 300 cr mark by the end of its first week.
