After opening on a good note, the business of the film saw exponential growth in collections as the days’ progress. With strong word of mouth, The Kashmir Files fast emerged as a money spinner at the box office. After raking in the moolah over its opening weekend, the business of the film maintained its momentum on weekdays as well.

Collecting Rs. 96 cr in its first week, The Kashmir Files has managed to out beat the business of previous releases like Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi that collected Rs. 68.93 cr, Rajkummar Rao – Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do that collected Rs. 12.60 cr, and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund, that had collected Rs. 9.51 cr. The immensely reactions to the film have gone a long way in propelling it to the top. In fact, initially released in just 650 screens, TheKashmir Files saw an increase in the total number of screens and shows over its opening weekend to accommodate the audience demand.
Currently, The Kashmir Files continues to run in theatres, drawing in the audience. In fact, despite the new release, Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey, proving to be some competition the VivekAgnihotri directorial has continued to remain as the audiences’ first choice in theatres. Given this trend, trade predictions state that the business of The Kashmir Files will see yet another jump in collections over its second weekend in theatres, managing to cross the Rs. 120 cr mark by its second Monday.
