The Vivek Agnihotri directed venture The Kashmir Files that features Anupam Kher has been doing brisk business since its release. At the end of its three week run, the collections of the film have neared the Rs. 250 cr. mark. Currently pegged at Rs. 239.78 cr. the collections of the film are expected to see an increase over the festive weekend of Gudi Padwa.
In this box office report, we look at the territory wise breakup of The Kashmir Files business within the domestic market. Not surprisingly, the Mumbai circuit leads with a collection of Rs. 65.69 cr., interestingly though; the territory of Delhi-UP is not far behind recording collections of Rs. 64.29 cr. Following these two major territories are other locations like East Punjab, Rajasthan, CP, and CI that have recorded collections of Rs. 31.83 cr, Rs. 12.43 cr, Rs. 11.23 cr, and Rs. 9.51 cr respectively. Besides these locations, The Kashmir Files seems to have found an audience in other locations as well like Mysore, West Bengal and Nizzam-AP that saw the film’s collections record Rs. 10.49 cr, Rs. 10.42 cr and Rs. 8.99 cr.
Going forward, the business of The Kashmir Files is expected to cross the Rs. 250 cr. mark over its fourth weekend running. Despite the new releases the film has maintained its trending in theatres.
