Dhurandhar has come on its own. The film is firing all cylinders now and Sunday collections are a testimony of that. The film has crossed the magical Rs. 40 crores milestone and that established the fact that the film has been liked by the majority of the audience. It is indeed a big deal to bring this kind of numbers and Dhurandhar has seen constant escalation in momentum on a day-on-day basis which has resulted in Rs. 20 crores, Rs. 30 crores and now Rs. 40 crores milestone being breached from Friday to Sunday.
The film has brought in Rs. 45.80 crores more as the mass centres have joined the party as well along with the multiplexes. The word of mouth has caught like wildfire as more and more are curious to check out the first part of the film which is focused more on the internal politics of Pakistan and exposes the nuances of what happens between the politicians, gangsters and ISI there. While one waits to see the exposé that Aditya Dhar comes up with in the second part, Dhurandhar is ensuring that all the right noise is made while it kickstarts its big journey at the biz office.
With this it has entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club as the collections stand at Rs. 106.50 crores. Not many were expecting these kinds of numbers from the Ranveer Singh starrer but the man, along with a superlative supporting cast, has delivered hugely and the results are there to be seen. All eyes are now on the weekday hold and if the film manages to bring in Rs. 15-18 crores today then it’s game on.
