The Abhishek Kapoor directed AyushmannKhurrana – Vaani Kapoor starrer Chandigarh KareAashiqui released on December 10 in cinemas. Based on an interesting love story the film has been one of the most talked about releases. But will the film live up to expectations is what we analyse.
In this box office report we take a look at the opening day collections of Chandigarh KareAashiqui while comparing the same to previous releases of 2021. Collecting Rs. 3.75 5 cr on Day 1, the Ayushmann Khurrana film becomes the fourth highest opening day grosser of the year. While the business of the film does not surpass previous releases like Sooryavanshi that collected Rs. 26.29 cr, and Antim – The Final Truth that had collected Rs. 5.03 cr, the Day 1 collections of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui surpass other releases like Satyameva Jayate 2 that collected Rs. 3.22 cr and Roohi that had collected Rs. 3.06 cr.
With no competition from previous releases or new releases, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is expected to fare rather well at t the box office. In fact, trade estimates state that at the continued pace the film could well see an opening weekend collections around the Rs. 18 cr mark at the close of its first weekend.
