The Salman Khan starrer Race 3 released last week on Friday. After opening on a decent note, the business of the third instalment in the Race franchise witnessed immense growth on both its second and third day respectively.
In this box office special report we take a look at the collections of the Salman Khan starrer Race 3 on its first Sunday while comparing it to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 39.16 cr on its first Sunday Race 3 has managed to surpass the first Sunday’s collections of Salman’s previous release Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 38.75 cr and the Aamir Khan starrer PK that collected Rs. 38.44 cr. However, the first Sunday business of Race 3 does not manage to out beat the collections of other releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 46.5 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 45.53 cr, and Dangal that collected Rs. 42.41 cr.
If that wasn’t enough, the third day business of Race 3 has managed to perform better than certain other big ticket releases as well like, Sultan that collected Rs. 38.21 cr, Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 38.03 cr, and Chennai Express that collected Rs. 32.5 cr.
Now all that remains to be seen is whether Race 3 that was directed by Remo Dsouza will manage to become one of the highest grossing film of the year.
