The Rajkumar Hirani directed film Sanju released a little over a week ago and since then the Ranbir Kapoor starrer has been doing brisk business. Released across 4000 screens in the domestic market the film which is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt has been well received by the audience.
After closing its first week in theatres on a high note, the business of Sanju has managed to sustain its momentum at the box office, on its eighth and ninth day as well. In this box office, we take a look at the collections of Sanju on its second Saturday (Day 9) while comparing it to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 22.02 cr Sanju has managed to out beat the collections of the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan that had collected Rs. 19.25 cr to become the third all-time highest ninth day grosser. If that wasn’t all, the collections of Sanju have managed to record better numbers than other releases like PK that collected Rs. 17.16 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 16 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 14.92 cr, Krrish 3 that collected Rs. 14.23 cr, and Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 12.04 cr.
However the business of Sanju does not manage to surpass the business of other releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that had collected Rs. 26.5 cr and Dangal that had collected Rs. 23.07 cr.
