Box Office records are tumbling left, right and centre. After netting a huge Rs. 45.53 crore on Sunday, Tiger Zinda Hai continued to carry a lot of steam with it right into Monday as well. The film gathered Rs. 35.54 crore on Christmas as well and this is a huge number considering the fact that over Rs. 100 crore had already come in the first three days.
It is one thing to be bringing in massive footfalls on a holiday and something altogether different when this holiday turns out to be the fourth day of business. As a matter of fact despite such wonderful progression already over the days, Tiger Zinda Hai is not letting the momentum go and is bringing in great moolah with every passing day.
All of that has resulted in the film crossing yet another major milestone, and that is cross the Rs. 150 crore mark in just four days. Currently standing at Rs. 151.47 crore, the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer is now already the second highest Bollywood grosser of 2017 while being just below Golmaal Again [Rs. 205.70 crore].
Director Ali Abbas Zafar too has proved that he understands the grammar and narrative of Bollywood films quite well. He has made four films so far and each one of them belongs to a different genre. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was a romcom, Gunday was a bromance-action-drama, Sultan was an emotional humane tale and now Tiger Zinda Hai is an action packed spy thriller.
With a 100% success rate so far, he is indeed an asset to Yash Raj Films who have groomed him well while trusting him to deliver goods. Well, the youngster has done that, and how.
