In December last year we saw the release of the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1. Dubbed in Hindi the south Indian film has been doing well since then. In fact, after a slow opening the business of the film has consistently been seeing growth with each passing week. Now, Pushpa has managed to create a record of sorts by managing to cross the Rs. 100 cr. mark.
Crossing Rs. 100 cr. in 45 days Pushpa has become the 5th fastest South Indian Hindi dubbed film to cross the Rs. 100 cr. mark. Leading the list of fastest South Indian Hindi dubbed films to achieve this feat are previous releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 128 cr. in just 3 days of its release, 2.0 that collected Rs. 131.25 cr. in 4 days, Saaho that collected Rs. 102.38 cr. in 5 days, and Bahubali - The Beginning that collected Rs. 100.6 cr. in 23 days of its release.
Currently, Pushpa: The Rise still continues to run in theatres and is expected to draw in further collections till the next big ticket release hits screens in February.
