The recently released Hindi dubbed version of south film Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 created a massive wave at the box office. After a sluggish start the business of the film grew by leaps and bounds. With audience flocking to theatres and critics giving the film thumbs up, Pushpa has been raking in the moolah at the box office. In fact, the film still continues to run in theatres, with filmmakers opting to reschedule the release of their films due to the pandemic. Interestingly, Pushpa: The Rise has created an achievement of sorts for the lead actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
With the total box office collections of the Hindi dubbed version of Pushpa: The Rise going past the Rs. 100 cr. mark, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna have managed to make it to the much coveted Bollywood’s 100 cr. club. Thanks to this Allu Arjun will join a host of Bollywood stars like Farhan Akhtar, Kartik Aaryan, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal amongst others who have one film each that has made it past the Rs. 100 cr. mark. As for Rashmika Mandanna, the actress will join others like Amy Jackson, Esha Gupta, Tabu, Sara Ali Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vaani Kapoor, and Vidya Balan amongst other actresses who each have one film that has made it to the Rs. 100 cr. club.
As for the film, though Pushpa: The Rise took around 45 days to make it past the Rs. 100 cr. mark, the film has since emerged as the dark horse at the box office for the year 2021. Currently, with an open window at theatres, expectations are that the business of Pushpa will continue to grow.
