The Vishal Bhardwaj directorial O Romeo, featuring the fresh pairing of Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, is steadily making its way toward the coveted Rs. 50 crore milestone. However, the journey has hit a bit of a speed bump as the film faced the typical second-Monday drop.

After an average performance over its second weekend, O Romeo saw a significant decline on Day 11. The film collected Rs. 1.15 cr. on Monday, bringing its 11-day domestic total to approximately Rs. 49.15 cr. While the 48.89% drop from Sunday is expected for a gritty, mid-budget thriller, the film now needs a stable hold over the remaining weekdays to cross the 50-crore mark and maintain a healthy lifetime total.
Despite the slow Monday, the Shahid Kapoor-starrer is likely to breach the Rs. 50 crore mark by Day 12. The film has benefited from a lack of major competition in its second week, allowing it to remain the primary choice for fans of the gangster-drama genre.
Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film’s performance will now depend heavily on its ability to retain screens as new releases like The Kerala Story 2 prepare to arrive. While it may not reach the blockbuster heights of Kabir Singh, O Romeo is currently trending to surpass the lifetime collections of some of Shahid's previous collaborations with Bhardwaj, such as Haider.
