As expected, all new releases failed to see any kind of start at the Box Office. The Legend of Michael Mishra was the starriest affair but its delayed release and poor promotion meant that it came unannounced. Poor reviews further sealed the fate on Day One itself. For Arshad Warsi, this is a major disappointment. Fever was promoted for a few days before release but neither found good shows for it nor any attention from the critics. It wasn't reviewed by most publications.
The film that gained some kind of attention was Budhia Singh - Born To Run. The Manoj Bajpayee starrer surprisingly was promoted quite feebly and there was absolutely no buzz around it. However, there has been a nod of approval from the critics which means it still has some sort of a chance to perform to at least to an extent. That said, the opening day numbers are too less. Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara was another release of the week and it didn't even see an all-India arrival.
There wasn't much great news for Hollywood releases either. Though Suicide Squad and Jason Bournehad comparatively better numbers than Bollywood, they still didn't have the kind of collections which would make exhibitors happy about a spectacular show for the rest of the weekend.
