The Vipul Shah directed film Namaste England hit screens last week. Starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, the film that enjoyed an extended weekend was widely promoted. However, despite this, the box office collections of the film have been rather dismal.
In this box office report, we take a look at the opening weekend collections of Namaste England while comparing the same to Arjun Kapoor’s previous releases. Unfortunately, though the film enjoyed a four day extended weekend and the festive Dusshera release, Namaste England managed to rake in just Rs. 6.55 cr to become Arjun Kapoor’s biggest flop till date. If that wasn’t all, the opening weekend collections of Namaste England are also the actor’s lowest box office collections, ranking the film right at the bottom. In fact, the opening weekend collections of Namaste England that raked in Rs. 6.55 cr are lesser than the opening day collections of the actor’s previous releases Tevar that had raked in Rs. 7.05 cr.
As of now, with lacklustre reviews and rather unsavoury audience feedback, the business of Namaste England faces an uphill task. Currently, predictions state that while Badhaai Ho that released alongside Namaste England will remain stable over the coming weekdays, the business of the Arjun Kapoor starrer is certain to see a massive dip in collections.
