The Anees Bazmee directed venture Mubarakan starring Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor released over a week ago and after opening on a slow note the business of the film witnessed a jump in collections over the weekend. However, on weekdays as per the usual norm the collections of Mubarakan began to dip.
Though the film was expected to run only in the first week given the fact that the Shah Rukh Khan – Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal hit screens, it now seems like Mubarakan is benefiting from the underperformance of the latter. In fact, proving this are the second weekend collection figures of Mubarakan that after collection Rs. 1.05 cr on its second Friday managed to draw in another Rs. 2 and Rs. 3.03 cr on Saturday and Sunday respectively. However, on Monday the Anees Bazmee film seems to have dropped again.
As per reports Mubarakan has managed to rake in Rs. 2.85 cr more on Monday which is approximately 5.94% lower than its second Sunday collections. Despite this drop, the total collections of Mubarakan currently stand at Rs. 44.59 cr.
