The Alia Bhatt – Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi released a week ago. Based on the book Calling Sehmat the film directed by Meghna Gulzar has been doing brisk business at the box office. After opening on a good note the business of the film continued to remain stable on weekdays as well. Now after its first week in theatres the film has managed to draw in Rs. 56.59 cr. While expectations are that the business of Raazi will continued to see growth over its second weekend and second week we take a look at the economics of the film to understand how profitable the venture was for its makers.

Made on a budget of Rs. 37 cr. that includes both Cost of Production and Print & Publicity the makers of Raazi recovered a major chunk of their investment even before the film release from the sale of the satellite, music and digital rights of the film that brought in a whopping Rs. 33 cr. Coupled with this Raazi is expected to earn Rs. 110 cr. at the domestic box office from which the makers of the film stand to make Rs. 49.50 cr. with another Rs. 14.40 cr coming in as earnings from the overseas markets as the distributor share.

All together the makers of Raazi will at the end of the day earn a massive Rs. 96.90 cr from which after deducting the initial investment of Rs. 37 cr leaves a staggering Rs. 59.9 cr as pure profit with a 161.89% of Return on Investment (RoI).
