Box Office: Kahaani 2 collects 2.04 crores on Monday :Bollywood Box Office

Two films catering to niche audiences are managing to do reasonably okay at the multiplexes of the big cities. Both Kahaani 2 as well as Dear Zindagi held up decently on their first and second Monday respectively. Sujoy Ghosh's suspense dramatic thriller brought in 2.04 crore on Monday which has resulted in the overall collections standing at 19.01 crore.

Collections of the film are currently on the same lines as Vidya's last release as a leading lady Hamaari Adhuri Kahaani. That film had netted 16.5 crore over the weekend and then brought 27.1 crore during Week One. Now Kahaani 2 has seen a 16.97 crore weekend and is aiming for similar collections in the first week. That film had Emraan Hashmi's presence as a leading man lending added credibility whereas here, it is the franchise factor that was the USP.

Both films would keep some sort of collections coming during the weekdays before Befikre arrives on Friday. Considering the fact that it has a much happier vibe to it and is expected to be a fun-n-frolic affair, one hopes the footfalls are much higher in the next week.
