Even though it is primarily Bholaa which has been attracting the audience attention over the last four days, holdover releases John Wick: Chapter 4 and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar are managing to get their target audience to the theatres. Although the footfalls are of varying degree, the fact that these films are still in circulation is some sort of relief indeed.
In the second weekend, John Wick: Chapter 4 hung in there as it collected Rs 7.50 crores* more. Now, this is a big drop indeed from the opening weekend of around Rs 27 crores as the collections have come down to 30%. In fact, these are even lesser than the second day numbers of Rs 9 crores, which shows that the film was primarily about the first weekend. Currently standing at Rs 43.50 crores*, the film will cross the Rs 50 crores mark by the next weekend though it would require some push to go past the Rs 60 crores mark. From ROI perspective, it's a success.
As for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, it ended up netting Rs 3 crores* more in the fourth weekend. Again, the collections are much lesser than last weekend and there is a shift in momentum as well. Till the release of Bholaa the film was trending rather well but now it has come down to lower levels. It's playing at a lesser count of screens too and hence the occupancy looked good at the limited shows where it was playing over the weekend. The film currently stands at Rs 136 crores* and would eventually find itself in Rs 142-144 crores range during its lifetime.
