Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa has shown a superlative trend in its opening weekend as the business grew from strength to strength over the last 3 days. According to estimates, Bholaa has collected in the range of Rs. 13.50 to 14.50 crores on its fourth day, showing a growth of approx. 15 percent over Saturday. The four-day extended weekend total of Bholaa now stands at approximately Rs. 45 crores, and the eyes are now on how the film holds on Monday.
The drop in collections on Friday was a little scary, but Bholaa has done well enough to make up for the lost ground. Both Saturday and Sunday were higher than the opening day and this is an indication of a steady run at the box office. Bholaa collected Rs. 11.20 crores on opening day as the business saw Ram Navmi benefit, followed by Rs. 7.40 crores on Friday, Rs. 12.20 crores on Saturday, and finally, Rs. 14 crores on Sunday.
The national multiplex chains have collected around Rs. 6.40 crore on Sunday, which is a growth of approximately 10% over Saturday, wherein they collected Rs. 5.90 crores. The mass belts have shown bigger gains due to Sunday, consolidating all India growth to approximately 15%. All eyes are now on Monday as it’s crucial for Bholaa to stay above Rs. 5 crore to have a chance of succeeding and hitting the century.
Bholaa is directed by Ajay Devgn and is an official remake of Tamil film, Kaithi. The movie released on March 30 and will get benefit due to a three-week free run at the box office till Eid. It remains to be seen if the film can hit 100 crores in the long run.
