Golmaal Again would be tagged with Blockbuster status by the end of second week. It stayed quite healthy right through its second weekend as well, what with Rs. 13.58 crore been added to its total. That has allowed the film to touch Rs. 167.51 crore which is just superb as this number has been achieved in just 10 days. An average of Rs. 16.50 crore per day is really awesome for this fourth installment of the Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty franchise which is now the most successful ever in the comedy genre.
Now it is time for the film to move towards the next milestone, that of achieving Rs. 175 crore. The pace at which the film is going, an average of Rs. 3-4 crore on a daily basis would allow it to comfortably march towards that mark before the third weekend kick-starts.
On the other hand for Secret Superstar it is journey towards the 50 crore mark that has turned out to be of utmost importance this week. The Aamir Khan production currently stands at Rs. 50.50 crore* total. The film is an Above Average earner and is potentially looking at a lifetime of Rs. 60 crore. It has done well as per the subject, genre and potential, and while Diwali release may have set the bar as far as expectations are concerned, the kind of number that Secret Superstar would eventually close at would still bring it in Top-15 of 2017.
