The Alia Bhatt – Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dear Zindagi, has set the box office register jingling with weekend collections of the film showing superb growth. In fact the film that released last Friday has managed to collect Rs. 32.5 cr in three days within the domestic market.
In this box office, report we take a look at the overseas collections of Dear Zindagi over the opening weekend while comparing them to previously released films. Collecting USD 4 mil. Dear Zindagi ranks as the fourth highest opening weekend grosser in the overseas market sharing the slot with Housefull 3 that had collected a similar amount. While the film manages to out beat previous releases like M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story that collected USD 3.3 mil, Rustom that collected USD 3.03 mil. and Kapoor & Sons that collected USD 2.9 mil. But it does not manage to surpass the collections of films like Sultan that collected USD 13.73 mil. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that collected USD 6.15 mil and Fan that collected USD 6.01 mil.
However, with the film still running, all that is left to be seen is whether the overall collections of Dear Zindagi manages to place the film within the top overseas grossers of the year.
