By Bollywood Hungama News Network

The Aamir Khan starrer, Dangal directed by Nitesh Tiwari released last week on Friday. The film that is based on the life of wrestler Manahvir Singh Phogat and also marks the Bollywood debut of Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh has opened well at the box office. In fact Dangal that released across 4300 screens in India has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark in just three days collecting Rs. 106.95 cr.

In this box office report we take a look at the worldwide collections of Dangal while comparing the same to previous releases. Interestingly Dangal that started off at the box office with a bang has already managed to gross Rs. 210 cr at the worldwide box office. If that wasn’t enough, looking at the current box office trends, the collections of Dangal look set to surpass the collections of previous releases like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that Rs. 238 cr., Airlift that collected Rs. 219 cr., Rustom that collected Rs. 215 cr., and M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story that collected Rs. 214 cr. by the end of the day today.

On the other hand, though the film enjoys an almost two week long unopposed run at the box office, what remains to be seen is whether the final tally of box office collections surpasses the collections of Salman Khan’s Sultan that collected Rs. 567 cr.

Sultan – Rs. 567 cr.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – Rs. 238 cr.

Airlift – Rs. 219 cr.

Rustom – Rs. 215 cr.

M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story – Rs. 214 cr.

Dangal – Rs. 210 cr.
