The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Badhaai Ho released yesterday to a good response from the audience. With positive reviews, the film took the lead at the box office despite facing competition from the other release Namaste England.
In this box office report, we take a look at the opening day collections of Badhaai Ho while comparing the same to the previous releases of 2018. Collecting Rs. 7.29 cr, Badhaai Ho has managed to become the thirteenth highest opening day grosser of 2018. Interestingly, Badhaai Ho has managed to open on a better note as compared to films like Stree that collected Rs. 6.82 cr, Batti Gul Meter Chalu that collected Rs. 6.50 cr, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that collected Rs.6.42 cr.
However, the opening day business of Badhaai Ho does not manage to out beat the collections of other releases like Sanju that collected Rs. 34.75 cr, Race 3 that collected Rs. 28.50 cr, Gold that collected Rs. 25.25 cr, Baaghi 2 that collected Rs. 25.10 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 24 cr, Satyameva Jayate that collected Rs. 19.50 cr, Veere Di Wedding that collected Rs. 10.70 cr, Pad Man that collected Rs. 10.26 cr, Raid that collected Rs. 10.04 cr, Dhadak that collected Rs. 8.71 cr, Sui Dhaaga that collected Rs. 8.30 cr, and Raazi that collected Rs. 7.53 cr.
With Badhaai Ho continuing its stunning run at the box office coupled with the fact that the film enjoys an extended festive weekend of Dusshera, all that remains to be seen now is whether Badhaai Ho becomes one of the highest opening weekend grossers of 2018.
