Ajay Devgn’s latest release Raid which hit screens last week has been doing rather well at the box office. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film which initially took off on a slow note saw good growth in business despite the on-going exam season. Now after its first week running, the film has managed to surpass the collections of Akshay Kumar’s recent release Pad Man to become the second highest opening week grosser of 2018.
Collecting Rs. 63.05 cr, Raid does not manage to out beat the collections of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film Padmaavat that had collected Rs. 166.50 cr. However, Raid does manage to surpass other releases, like Pad Man that collected Rs. 62.87 cr, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that collected Rs. 45.94 cr, and Pari that collected Rs. 22.75 cr.
