Bhooth Bangla has now come in its own. While the film was supposed to bring in good moolah in the second weekend due to hold demonstrated during the weekdays, what’s happening now is actually far more than expected. Firstly, the film grew over Thursday collections of Rs. 5.50 crores by bringing in Rs. 5.60 crores on Friday. That itself was a good sign. However, what has happened on Saturday is simply superb as the collections have actually grown big.
Something like this happens only for those movies where word of mouth is really positive and to have such collections come at a higher level is even better because that indicates good footfalls leading to an eventual solid lifetime. As much as Rs. 10 crores came on Saturday and this isn’t something that many saw coming. Anything around Rs. 9 crores would have been quite good too and here the film has not just collected in double digits but also moved much ahead of that with a promise of a superb Sunday.
Early indications so far are that today the film will exceed Rs. 15 crores and that would be quite good, what with a weekend of around Rs. 30 crores on the cards. The film has already netted Rs. 110.55 crores and now it’s a given that Rs. 150 crores+ lifetime is there for the taking. As a matter of fact, there is now possibility of the Akshay Kumar film to go ahead of this milestone as well which will further reaffirm its status of being a HIT.
