The Anees Bazmee directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani was released nearly two weeks ago, and since then the film has been doing roaring business at the box office. After a good start, the business of the Bhushan Kumar – Murad Khetani production that hit 3200 screens in India has seen its collections increase immensely. Now on its 13th day running, the film has managed to hold steady at the box office.
In this box office report, we look at the second Wednesday collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 4.45 cr the film has emerged as the fourth-highest second Wednesday grosser of 2022. Though unable to surpass the business of previous releases like The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 10.03 cr, KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 6.25 cr, and RRR which had collected Rs. 5.50 cr, the Kartik Aaryan starrer does out beat the Alia Bhatt film Gangubai Kathiawadi which had collected Rs. 2.97 cr. Interestingly, when compared to non-dubbed Bollywood releases, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 ranks as the second-highest second Wednesday grosser just behind the Vivek Agnihotri directorial The Kashmir Files.
Going forward, with three new releases in the form of Samrat Prithviraj, Vikram and Major slated to hit screens this Friday, the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is likely to see a drop in collections. However, despite this trade remains hopeful stating that the business of the film could still retain a hold over the box office.
