The Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 directed by Anees Bazmee was released last week across 3200 screens in the domestic market. After opening on a good note the business of the film saw immense growth over its opening weekend managing to cross the Rs. 50 cr mark in three days. Now in its first week running the Bhushan Kumar – Murad Khetani production has managed to hold steady with a constant flow of collections. Not surprisingly, with the massive rate of advance booking, positive feedback from audience and critics, and of course the wide release, the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has been unstoppable.
In fact, just 8 days after its release the overall collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have managed to rake in Rs. XXX cr crossing the Rs. 100 cr mark. With the film now entering the highly coveted Rs. 100 cr club, director Anees Bazmee will be joining other filmmakers like Siddharth Anand, Nitesh Tiwari, Indra Kumar, and a host of other filmmakers who have two releases each that have crossed the Rs. 100 cr mark. While Anees Bazmee’s previous release Ready managed to collect Rs. 119.78 cr during its run at the box office, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has managed this feat within just 8 days, making it his fastest Rs. 100 cr grosser.
As of now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues to run in theatres with audiences patronizing the film in droves. Given this trend and the fact that the film faces little to no competition, it is estimated that the business of the film will continue to see growth. As per trade predictions if Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 maintains its current momentum the business of the film could draw closer to the Rs. 150 cr mark by the end of its second weekend.
