The Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released yesterday to a good response from the critics and audience alike. After enjoying a good rate of advance bookings, the film also witnessed immense spot booking for evening and night shows. Thanks to this, the business of the film received a massive boost in collections on Day 1.

Collecting Rs. 14.11 cr the film manages to surpass the collections of the Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey which had collected Rs. 13.25 cr to emerge as the third-highest opening day grosser of 2022. Besides Bachchhan Paandey, the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also surpasses the collections of other releases like Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 10.5 cr, Heropanti 2 which collected Rs. 6.5 cr, Radhe Shyam which collected Rs. 4.44 cr, The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 3.55 cr, Attack – Part 1 which collected R. 3.38 cr, and the Rnaveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar which had collected Rs. 3.25 cr. However, the business of the film does not manage to out beat the business of certain other releases like KGF – Chapter 2, which collected Rs. 53.95 cr, and RRR, which had collected Rs. 20.07 cr.
Going forward, the Anees Bazmee directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which is a sequel of the Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhulaiya, is expected to see further growth over its opening weekend. With trade predictions indicating an increase in bookings over its first Saturday and Sunday in theatres, the business of the Bhushan Kumar - Murad Khetani produced film is likely to grow by leaps and bounds.
