After bringing in Rs. 11.20 crores on Thursday, Bholaa collected Rs. 7.40 crores on Friday. This was bound to happen as films usually drop on the second day when coming off a holiday. Yes, had this been in 20% range then it would have been even better as it would have indicated a better hold. That said, Thursday had a partial holiday of Ramanavami and hence there was a bit of higher collections, though not much.
For comparison, one can see how Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar too had a similar drop when after collecting Rs. 15.73 crores on the partial holiday of Holi, it went to Rs. 10.34 crores on the second day which was a regular working day. Later, it went on to grow well over the weekend and today it’s a winner. Now all associated with Bholaa would be expecting something similar and with the reports around the film being good, especially when it comes to the gentry and the mass audiences, it would be about time that the interiors would fire as well.
In two days, the film has collected Rs. 18.60 crores and the first major target would be to go past the Rs. 45 crores mark by Sunday. That would be decent enough for this biggie which has an open run ahead of itself till the arrival of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on April 21. As long there is growth over the weekend and then the weekdays stay stable as well, an entry into the Rs. 100 Crore Club will come calling for Bholaa.
