Badhaai Do has shown a good jump in collections on second day as the film has shown an excellent growth of around 80% on Saturday. According to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 2.75 to 3 crores taking the two day total to Rs. 4.50 crore plus.
The jump has come across all the multiplex chains and this is an encouraging sign as the escalation suggests that people are stepping out to watch the film on the big screen. With this jump, the movie is now eyeing at a weekend of Rs. 7.50 crore plus and if it showcases a hold in collections on the weekdays, there is bright chance of breezing close to Rs. 20 crore in its lifetime.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, a film on similar subject with a much bigger cast, collected Rs. 28.26 crores in its lifetime run. There is a partial holiday on February 14, which should help the collections in the metros and take the week one total past the double digit mark.
Another significant jump on Sunday would mean a sign of acceptance from audience.
