Animal Box Office: Film emerges as Ranbir Kapoor’s highest worldwide grosser

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal which hit screens last week on Friday has proved to be unstoppable at the box office. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial that also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna had been making waves in the run up to its release. Well, the hype and anticipation surrounding the film coupled with the wide advance booking ensured Animal starts on a thunderous note. Now, at the close of its first week in theatres, Animal has managed to cross the Rs. 300 cr mark with ease.

In this box office report, we look at the collections of Animal while comparing the same to Ranbir Kapoor’s previous releases at the worldwide box office. Collecting a staggering Rs. 600.58 crwithin just the first week Animal has now emerged as Ranbir kapoor’s all-time highest grosser at the worldwide box office. Collecting a massive Rs. 361.16 cr from the domestic market and a further Rs. 169.44 cr from the overseas markets, the total collections of Animal have managed to surpass Ranbir’s previous releases like Sanjau that collected Rs. 586.85 cr, Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva that collected Rs. 418.8 cr, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani that collected Rs. 319.6 cr, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that collected Rs. 239.67 cr and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar that had collected Rs. 220.1 cr at the worldwide box office.

Currently, though Animal has emerged as Ranbir Kapoor’s most successful film at the both the domestic and overseas box office, the film which continues to enjoy the audiences’ favour is expected to see its business increase over its second weekend. In fact, based on current trends, trade predictions state that the overall collections of Animal could well close the gap if not cross to the Rs. 650 cr mark at the worldwide box office by the end of its second weekend running
